About

Michelle Makela is a Legal Practice Director at Go To Court Lawyers. She holds a Juris Doctor, a Bachelor of Science (Psychology) and a Master of Criminology. She was admitted to practice in 2006.

Michelle has over 15 years experience in the legal industry, working across commercial litigation, criminal law, family law and estate planning.  Since joining the GTC Legal Group in 2011, she has been involved in all practice areas of the firm. Her personal practice has included litigation at all levels, including state and federal Industrial Tribunals, the Supreme Court, the Court of Appeal, the Federal Court, the Federal Circuit Court and the High Court.

Michelle has played an instrumental role in the development of the firm’s business. It is through her dedication to her work that the business continues to grow, and we are able to offer support to so many clients each year. It is with Michelle’s support that we are proud to offer Australia’s largest private legal advice hotline, which provides clients with support at difficult times in their lives.

As a Legal Practice Directors, Michelle’s role is to ensure our clients’ needs are met in an appropriate and affordable way. Her role is predominately to oversee the strategic and operational management of Go To Court Lawyers and to work with our National Practice Directors to provide training, support and guidance to our solicitors.
