Success Stories and Publications
Our solicitor, Brianna Dennis, represented a 35-year-old man in the Ringwood Magistrates Court with respect to a charge of unlawful assault and a contravention of family violence orders.
This matter involved an incident of family violence where the police subsequently took out an intervention order which our client subsequently breached by contacting the complainant, his former partner.
Our client had no criminal history and held major concerns with respect to receiving a criminal record. Our representation resulted in our client being placed in a Diversion Program for 6 months. Once the conditions with the Diversion Program have been complied with, the charges will be discharged, with no finding of guilt. Accordingly, our client will not incur a criminal record.
This result was achieved after a thorough preparation of the case, and identifying the factors that mitigated the severity of our client's offence. Our solicitor demonstrated to the Court that this incident was out of character for the client, and sought to explain the circumstances around the offending.
This case illustrates Brianna Dennis’ commitment to achieving the best outcome for our clients based on their personal circumstances. The importance of having a solicitor who can identify the strengths and weakness of your case is fundamental to the likelihood of success.
