Jakita Hodgson holds a Bachelor of Laws with Honours and a Bachelor of Justice with Distinction from Queensland University of Technology; and further holds a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from Queensland University of Technology. Jakita is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Queensland and in the High Court of Australia.
Jakita commenced with GTC Lawyers as a Law Clerk in 2018, predominantly working in the areas of criminal law, traffic law, civil law, and administrative law.
Jakita moved to New York for six months to undertake a semester of study in law, and subsequently moved to London for three months to work in a law firm, dealing predominantly in commercial and civil litigation.
Jakita aspires to primarily practice in criminal law, corporate and commercial litigation, and/or banking and finance, before applying to the Australian Bar Association to practice as a Barrister.
