Content integrity
Editorial Standards
Our goal is useful Australian legal information that clearly identifies jurisdiction, sources, service limits and review status.

Purpose and limits
Website articles provide general information, not advice for a specific matter. Laws and procedures vary by jurisdiction and change over time. Readers should check the relevant official source and obtain legal advice where a decision, deadline or personal risk is involved.
Source hierarchy
For legal propositions we prefer current legislation, courts, tribunals, government departments and public legal-assistance bodies. High-priority pages show an official-source panel with the jurisdiction and date on which those links were checked. A source-link check is not a new solicitor review.
Legal review attribution
Where a page carries a recorded legal-review attribution, it is displayed separately from the source-check status. We do not present customer reviews as legal review and we do not treat an automated or editorial source check as solicitor approval.
Dates and updates
We use a publication or review date only when it is supported by the content record. A build date or sitemap date is not presented as a legal-review date. Material updates should identify the current official sources and remove unsupported outcome, deadline or success-rate claims.
Corrections
If you find an error, use our corrections process. Reports are assessed against primary sources and corrected without silently inventing a new legal-review date.
