The Sydney CBD District Court is situated on level 4 of the John Madison Tower at 86 Goulburn Street, Sydney, between the intersections with Castle Rea and Elizabeth Street. The tower is named after John Clarkson Madison, former New South Wales Attorney General and Deputy Leader of the State Branch of the Liberal Party. The civil registry in the Sydney CBD District Court operates Monday to Friday from 8.30am until 4pm.
The Sydney District Court is located directly opposite a secure parking station on the corner of Goulburn and Castle Rea Streets and is 700 metres from Central Station or only 250 metres from the Museum Station. Sydney is an international tourist destination, known in particular for its distinctive opera house and harbour bridge.
