Bowen Magistrates Court is not currently operating from the historic courthouse at thirty Williams Street. That building is closed for renovations. The footage behind this update is original Go To Court archival material showing the former operating location.
Practice Direction Six of twenty twenty-six says the court and registry reopened at temporary premises at fifty Livingstone Street on thirtieth June twenty twenty-six. The published renovation period continues through thirtieth June twenty twenty-seven, with the possibility of an extension.
Court sittings at the temporary premises follow the Bowen Magistrates Court calendar. Do not rely on an older map, video or search result. Check the address on your current notice, the official courthouse listing and the latest daily law list before you travel.
Confirm the venue, hearing date and attendance method; allow time to locate the temporary building; bring your notice, identification and organised documents; and contact the registry promptly if your paperwork still names Williams Street or gives a different direction.
