Located 3 hours south of Perth, this Western Australian “Super Town” has a current population of 4000 people.The Great Southern Railway from Perth to Albany was constructed in the late 1800’s and Katanning was formally gazetted in 1898. In 1902, the honourable Frederick Henry Piesse built Kobeelya, a two storey Victorian style mansion with 17 bedrooms for his family residence.
